Ancestral Sonoran Desert People

Ancestral Sonoran Desert People

Join us at MACH1 to learn about Ancestral Sonoran Desert People.

Using S’edav Va’aki Museum’s (Pueblo Grande Museum’s) mobile artifact kit, discover the Ancestral Sonoran Desert People (Hohokam)! This is an introduction to archaeology and the first farmers of the Salt River Valley for kids. Learn about their prehistoric canal systems, crops, art and architecture and much, much more in our interactive and hands on presentation! This is a walk-in program for children ages 5-13 and their families.
