Backyard Composting 101

Backyard Composting 101

Did you know it is easy to compost at home? Join MACH1 for an exciting and educational adventure into the world of composting at Backyard Composting 101. Learn about the different types of compostable materials, the essential elements for successful composting, and understand the role of microorganism in breaking down organic matter. Participants will also discover how composting can transform kitchen scraps and yard waste into nutrient-rich soil that can be used to grow plants and flowers, right at home!

This is a walk-in program for all ages. Each participating household will have the chance to take home a compost bucket. Please note that supplies for compost buckets are limited, and available on a first-come, first-served basis.
