A Visit with Willie Ito
Animator Willie Ito will discuss his nearly seventy-year experience as an animator in Hollywood, beginning with the spaghetti scene in Disney’s Lady and the Tramp in 1954 to his work on Looney Tunes and Hanna-Barbera cartoons like The Jetsons, Scooby-Doo, and Hong Kong Phooey. In his talk, he will also recount his experience as a teenager in WWII internment camps to his more recent work as a designer of Disney merchandise. Willie will be available to sign copies of his children's book, Hello Maggie.
