Teen Volunteer & Event Council

Are you self-motivated, friendly, and have a passion for helping your community and making a difference? Perfect! Burton Barr Central Library is looking for independent, civic centered teens ages 13-17 to volunteer and lead our Event Council during the 2023-24 school year.

Teen volunteers and event council members will help library staff prepare activities and decorate public areas for major library events. Volunteers also have the opportunity to maintain library collections, create book displays, participate in entrepreneurial endeavors and much more!

If you are interested in event planning, gaining work experience and leadership skills, and having fun, please apply now at phoenix.gov/volunteer

The Volunteer Event Council meets every Saturday from 1PM-3PM. Volunteers are expected to attend a minimum of 2 meetings per month. Alternate volunteer schedules may be approved at the discretion of the Teen Volunteer Coordinator and are not guaranteed.

Spaces are limited. Those who submit their applications first will receive priority during the selection process.
