Mister Rogers Week

Mister Rogers Week

All week long, Burton Barr Central Library is celebrating the birthday anniversary of Mister Rogers (March 20, 1928), creator of Mister Rogers Neighborhood and inspiration for Daniel Tiger's Neighborhood.

We will be presenting programs,  (see calendar for details), as well as several passive programs and activities inside Children's Place, including self-guided bingo games and scavenger hunts, a documentary screening on view as well as an interactive birthday cake display, a Trolley Timeline, and more! Join us each day for all the fun!

Fred Rogers was an American television host, author, and producer of Mister Rogers Neighborhood on PBS, from 1968 to 2001. Each episode was a visit with young viewers exploring early childhood themes through his interaction with friends and neighbors and through puppet stories set in the Neighborhood of Make-Believe.
