New! Mesquite Youth Book Club

New! Mesquite Youth Book Club

Book clubs aren’t just for grownups! If you are entering grades 3rd through 5th this fall, come hang out with us as we read and discuss some of the fun books that are part of Phoenix Public Library’s Great Children’s Book Collection.

Book discussion improves critical thinking and reading comprehension skills; it’s also fun and a great way to meet fellow book lovers!

For the month of June, we will discuss Frindle by Andrew Clements.

For the month of July, we will discuss Beezus and Ramona by Beverly Cleary.

Please note: Grownups aren’t required to attend but should remain in the library for the duration of the book club meeting. In addition, we encourage registration in order to properly prepare our activities. However, drop-ins are welcome, too. We hope to see you at our book club!
