Rare Book Room Presents: The Strange Worlds of Baskin & Moser
Join us in the Rare Book Room for an exploration of the macabre works of Leonard Baskin and Barry Moser. This program offers a frightening journey into the fusion of fine art and literature. Baskin, through his Gehenna Press, depicted unsettling themes and intricate details in his highly stylized creations. Moser, his protégé and eventual peer, founded the Pennyroyal Press, where his wood engravings present a haunting artistic vision. This collection highlights their engagement with the darker side of storytelling and craftsmanship, offering an intriguing and chilling experience for enthusiasts and scholars alike.
