Mx. Grace Bombulum (bomb-bew-lum) is the Minerals and Geology Program Manager for the Tonto National Forest. They hold a B.S. in Geology and Geophysics from MS&T and a M.S. in Geology from the University of Missouri. Bombulum has worked for the Forest Service for 7 years, previously serving as a hydrologist on the Boise National Forest. In their current position, Bombulum is the caves, and karst program manager, and works to mitigate geohazards, such as abandoned mine land (AML) features, in addition to overseeing the Forest’s mineral and geology program. Bombulum is passionate about public outreach and education, frequently giving talks, working with volunteers, mentoring students interested in geology and teaches Intro to Geology at San Carlos Apache College during the Spring semester. During their off time, they love to read sci-fi and fantasy novels, drink a great cup of coffee, and explore the world of geology through hiking and traveling.
This program will take place in the Pulliam Auditorium, on the 1st floor of Burton Barr Central Library.
