Thursday Maker Hour: Lunar New Year Paper Lanterns

Thursday Maker Hour: Lunar New Year Paper Lanterns

Join us at MACH1 for Thursday Maker Hour: Papermaking! This month, our Maker Focus is Ancient Civilizations

Did you know that the Lunar New Year has been celebrated in East Asia for over 3,000 years? Today we'll use paper and other art supplies to create paper lanterns to commemorate the Year of the Snake and set our hopes for 2025.

This program is a walk-in program for children ages 6 and up and their families.

Do you require an accommodation to participate in a Phoenix Public Library program, service, or activity? Call 602-262-4636, TTY 711, or submit your request in person or through Ask Us at least 14 business days before the event.
