Health Screenings & Education with University of Arizona College of Pharmacy and College of Medicine

Join us for a day of health screenings and health education at no-cost provided by the University of Arizona College of Pharmacy.

University of Arizona College of Pharmacy will be providing screenings for:

  • Diabetes
  • Cholesterol
  • Hypertension
  • Osteoporosis
  • Breathing Assessments

They will also have educational booths on:

  • Depression Awareness
  • HIV/ Aids Awareness
  • Sickle Cell Anemia/ Health Disparities
  • Generation Rx/ Operation Substance Abuse with Naloxone Awareness
  • Safe Aging
  • No cost Naloxone Kits for the taking!

University of Arizona College of Medicine will be providing the following services:

  • OB/GYN Interest Group: An educational booth focused on reproductive health with a jeopardy-style game, including pap smears, STI screening, mammograms, & more!
  • Education on Head and Neck Cancer/Skin Cancer, such as safe practices in the sun (sunscreen, skin protection, so on), self screening for skin cancer (ABCDEs), risk factors for head/neck cancers, (EtOH use, tobacco use; the benefits smoking cessation/HPV vaccination for prevention), where to be screened, and warning signs of head/neck cancers.
  • St. Vincent de Paul: Sleep clinic education and neck measurements based on education with a trifold. Will include education in English and Spanish
  • Street Med Phoenix: in conjunction with the Harm Reduction & Addiction Medicine interest group, this booth will be focused on educating the public on how to recognize and respond to an overdose with intranasal naloxone. Present demo units of naloxone, flyers, and volunteers to provide education throughout the event.

No insurance required. First come, first served. Ages 18+.

Location: 1st floor, Pulliam Auditorium.
