Fred’s Neighborhood Story Hour and Birthday Celebration!
Join us to celebrate the birthday of Mister Rogers, an iconic figure in children's television and the original creator of the character, Daniel Tiger. The program will feature storytelling, crafts, activities, community resources, music, and theater, all focused on individuality, play, and our wonderful neighborhood community.
Arrive early; you won't want to miss a single moment!
All week long, Burton Barr Central Library is celebrating the birthday anniversary of Fred Rogers (March 20, 1928), creator of Mister Rogers Neighborhood and inspiration for the popular PBS television show, Daniel Tiger's Neighborhood.
Fred Rogers was an American television host, author, and producer of Mister Rogers Neighborhood on PBS, from 1968 to 2001. Each episode was a visit with young viewers exploring early childhood themes through his interaction with friends and neighbors and through puppet stories set in the Neighborhood of Make-Believe.
