@Central Gallery: What Were You Wearing?
This April, in observance of Sexual Assault Awareness Month, @ Central Gallery at Burton Barr Central Library will host the “What Were You Wearing?” exhibition from April 1 to May 1, 2025. Presented in collaboration with the City of Phoenix Human Services Department’s Let’s Talk Teal initiative and the Arizona Coalition to End Sexual and Domestic Violence (ACESDV), this impactful exhibit features re-creations of clothing worn by local sexual assault survivors at the time of their assaults.
The installation challenges victim-blaming myths and fosters meaningful conversations about sexual violence. Admission is free and open to the public. Don’t miss this powerful experience that highlights the resilience of survivors and the need for community awareness.
