Summer Reading Event: The Modern Navajo Kitchen

Join Alana Yazzie, the author of The Modern Navajo Kitchen, as she discusses her new cookbook and gives us a short history of Navajo culinary traditions which will provide the cultural context behind your new Navajo culinary experiences. Alana's greatest passion is developing innovative and approachable recipes that use Indigenous and Southwestern ingredients. Space is limited. Program sponsored by Maricopa County Library District as part of Maricopa County Reads, the summer reading program at the library.

Don't forget to sign up for the Summer Reading Game, it's for all ages! Prizes include free books and other great giveaways. Registration begins May 1. Start logging your reading on June 1. Game ends August 1.  To sign up, click here!
