Summer Reading Event: Critters in Your Backyard

Summer Reading Event: Critters in Your Backyard

“What is that large black bug with the orange wings? I saw this pretty little bird the other day. Are there rattlesnakes here?” If you are new to the Valley and know little about the Sonoran Desert and its natural inhabitants, this program might be for you. Discover some of the common creatures that might call your yard home and learn ways that we can coexist together.

This program is sponsored by Friends of the Phoenix Public Library.

Don't forget to sign up for the Summer Reading Game, it's for all ages! Prizes include free books and other great giveaways. Registration begins May 1. Start logging your reading on June 1. Game ends August 1.  To sign up, click here!

Do you require an accommodation to participate in a Phoenix Public Library program, service, or activity? Call 602-262-4636, TTY 711, or submit your request in person or through Ask Us at least 14 business days before the event.
