Summer Reading Event: Juneteenth! Dreams of Freedom

Kawambe's Music, dance, song and stories both joyfully celebrate Juneteenth's promise of freedom and resiliently carry on resistance to inequity. Each one, the expectations and experiences of Africans and their descendants in the Americas and throughout the diaspora. Space is limited. Program sponsored by Maricopa County Library District as part of Maricopa County Reads, the summer reading program at the library.

This event takes place in the Pulliam Auditorium on the first floor. 

Don't forget to sign up for the Summer Reading Game, it's for all ages! Prizes include free books and other great giveaways. Registration begins May 1. Start logging your reading on June 1. Game ends August 1.  To sign up, click here!
