Relief Ready: One Community, One Climate
Phoenix is hot. And, what's worse is that it's getting hotter for longer periods. This temperature trend can be attributed to climate change. But what is climate change? Is it even real? Join us for an informative and empowering presentation on climate change, where you will learn the science behind climate change, the negative consequences of climate change, and most importantly, how you can help mitigate climate change.
Pick up a FREE Climate Kit during this event to help you stay cool and safe during this summer's sweltering heat. Climate Kits are tote bags that include a sunscreen tube, hat, electrolyte drink mix, water bottles, granola bar, hand sanitizer, mini first aid kit, and an informational pamphlet. There is a limited supply, so we will be distributing them on a first come, first serve basis.
This event is hosted by AZ AANHPI for Equity at Burton Barr Library's Pulliam Auditorium.
Don't forget to sign up for the Summer Reading Game, it's for all ages! Prizes include free books and other great giveaways. Registration begins May 1. Start logging your reading on June 1. Game ends August 1. To sign up, click here!
