ABCs of Starting a Business

This in-person program is an introduction to starting and organizing a small business. Topics include understanding corporate structures, business planning, and marketing along with an overview of various financial documents and what they mean to your business.  Also included is a discussion on the best strategies for deciding between starting from scratch, buying, or franchising.

Presenter: Steve Engelhardt - Current SCORE Mentor for the US Small Business Administration, mentoring small business to help them develop and grow. Frequent speaker at SCORE seminars  and other events on issues of finance, sales, business planning and management. Corporate Vice President, Sales and Marketing. Worked with start-ups and with Fortune 50 companies in virtually every industry nationwide. Steve is also skilled in the government bidding and purchasing process.

Registration is required.  Capacity is limited. 

This program will take place in Pulliam Auditorium on the first floor.
