Explore Public Art: Discover Our Uniquely Beautiful and Vibrant City
Did you know that the Phoenix Public Art program is a national model for designing and building a better city? Established in 1986, the program allocates one percent of the city's annual Capital Improvement Program (CIP) to public art projects. These projects engage artists and designers to enhance Phoenix's beauty and vibrancy.
The Phoenix Public Art program works on the public's behalf to select the highest quality artwork, create distinctive community landmarks, and involve the community in the design of essential public buildings, systems, and spaces. Since 1986, over 300 public art sites have been created. Did you know there is Public Art in your neighborhood?
Join us for a joint presentation of the Phoenix Public Library and the Phoenix Office of Arts and Culture, about some of these remarkable projects. Also, learn how to explore more projects and map your journey of discovery around our city using a web-based resource, the Public Art Archive.
