MACH2: Construyendo Nichos/Nicho Making

Cholla Library will be commemorating Día de los Muertos (Day of the Dead) with a special display from October 15 through November 2 featuring nichos contributed by community members and library staff. This tradition is a vibrant and heartfelt way to honor the lives of those who have passed.

As part of this display, we will be creating nichos—small, decorative shadow boxes that serve as personal tributes. Nichos are more than just art; they are a meaningful way to keep the memory of loved ones alive, allowing us to connect with our ancestors and celebrate their lives through creativity, art, and remembrance.

Join us in MACH2 to create your own nicho with materials provided. Please bring photos or prints to use for your nicho.
