Meet the Mighty Machines
The Transformers have Optimus Prime, Megatron and Bumblebee as their mighty machines. The City of Phoenix has its own, too. Meet Fire Engine, Hybrid-Electric Bus and Jet-Hydro Sewer Cleaning Truck! Nearly two dozen mighty machines that keep the City running 24-7 will unite in the Burton Barr Library parking lot. Get up close with police cars and pickups, a 30-foot asphalt grader, Park Ranger ATVs, and a 28-foot monster garbage truck that uses compressed natural gas to lift and dump over 1,000 trash cans a day!
The event takes place in the parking lot adjacent to Hance Park. This event is presented by the City’s Youth & Education Office as part of its Families First Resource Centers, providing programs and resources for families with children birth to five.
