Reading Power Hour

For first through fifth graders, Saguaro is offering a Reading Power Hour. This is your student's chance to pair up and practice their reading with one of our friendly teen volunteer buddies! Paired reading is an excellent way to build up literacy skills, social skills, and confidence.

Who is Invited: Students from first grade through fifth grade. Teens who wish to participate can sign up to volunteer through our Phoenix Works Sign Up

What to Bring: A willingness to read and have fun!

What Will we be Doing: Pairing young readers with older, more experienced readers in a library environment to practice reading skills.
