Help celebrate Mister Rogers Week by creating your own puppets!  Come create characters from your own imagination or craft your favorite puppet from Daniel Tiger's Neighborhood. We will have a puppet stage and many fun puppets for play and inspiration.  Come join us for a little puppet-making and a lot of family fun! 

Creating and playing with puppets can help children develop their creativity, communication skills, motor skills, problem solving skills, and social skills.  

All week long, Burton Barr Central Library is celebrating the birthday anniversary of Mister Rogers (March 20, 1928), creator of Mister Rogers Neighborhood and inspiration for Daniel Tiger's Neighborhood.

Fred Rogers was an American television host, author, and producer of Mister Rogers Neighborhood on PBS, from 1968 to 2001.  Each episode was a visit with young viewers exploring early childhood themes through his interaction with friends and neighbors and through puppet stories set in the Neighborhood of Make-Believe.  Mister Rogers Neighborhood was the inspiration for the beloved PBS show and book series, Daniel Tiger's Neighborhood.
