Summer Reading Event: Navajo Blue Corn Mush: A Taste of Tradition

Embark on a culinary journey through time as we explore the rich history and cultural significance of Navajo blue corn. Discover how blue corn, a staple crop for generations, has been an essential part of Navajo life. See how this ancient grain is transformed into a nourishing and flavorful meal, called blue corn mush.

Space is limited. Program sponsored by Maricopa County Library District as part of Maricopa County Reads, the summer reading program at the library.

Don't forget to sign up for the Summer Reading Game, it's for all ages! Prizes include free books and other great giveaways. Registration begins May 1. Start logging your reading on June 1. Game ends July 20.  To sign up, click here!
