The Cousins Roosevelt & Americas Best Idea

The US National Park system is a huge point of national pride and envied throughout the world. It’s history and development are an interesting story, and it is enhanced by the work of two US presidents, from different eras and political parties, who happened to be cousins, who saw the potential treasure the that the Parks could offer.

This program takes you through the history of the Parks beginning and highlights some of the outstanding contributions made by the cousins Roosevelt. Seating is limited. No registration.

Stephen A. Engelhardt is a career interpreter, storyteller, and lifelong ambassador for America’s national parks. Raised in a park community and seasoned across icons like Denali, Acadia, Sequoia & Kings Canyon, North Cascades, and Organ Pipe Cactus, Stephen has spent years turning science, history, and wildlife into experiences people remember.
