Adaptive Storytime

Who’s it for?  Children who benefit from a sensory-friendly environment, birth to age 7, with their favorite grownups.

What will you do? This storytime features a modified environment with a closed room and added sensory supports. Program is presented at preschool-level development and includes music, movement, repetition, visual schedules, and tactile items. If your child has difficulty sitting through one of the library’s other storytimes, this inclusive program of stories, songs, and activities may be just what you are looking for!

Registration Required

Support for early literacy programs is provided by a grant from First Things First, which partners with families and communities to give all Arizona children the opportunity to arrive at kindergarten healthy and ready to succeed. Learn more at FirstThingsFirst.org.

Do you require an accommodation to participate in a Phoenix Public Library program, service, or activity? Call 602-262-4636, TTY 711, or submit your request in person or through Ask Us at least 14 business days before the event.
