AI in Focus: The Dark Side: Falsehoods & Theft
Many people are enthralled with all that generative AI sites like ChatGPT can do. Sure, it can help with things that can make planning a vacation and meal prep a breeze. But what about the darker side of AI? In our new reality filled with AI-generated “news” and “content,” we can no longer believe everything we see or hear. We may be unable to immediately tell whether news is real or fake due to articles and social media posts showing highly realistic images and videos. Celebrities and political figures may have their voices replicated by AI audio tools. Artists may have their work stolen and processed by AI Generation Tools. So, what can we do? This program will give an overview of issues in AI when it comes to information verification and copyright.

Test your knowledge, engage in discussion, and grab take-home resources about how to navigate and thrive in a world where AI is around us. Tech safety tools and swag may be available in the session while supplies last.
