ABCs of Starting a New Business
This in-person program is an introduction to starting and organizing a small business. Topics include understanding corporate structures, business planning, and marketing along with an overview of various financial documents and what they mean to your business. Also included is a discussion on the best strategies for deciding between starting from scratch, buying, or franchising.

Steve Engelhardt
Steve Engelhardt is a SCORE Mentor for the U.S. Small Business Administration, supporting small business owners as they launch, develop, and grow their ventures. He is a frequent presenter at SCORE seminars and other business events, speaking on topics such as finance, sales, business planning, and management. Steve has partnered with start‑ups and Fortune 50 companies across nearly every industry nationwide.
Darlene Ziebell
Darlene Ziebell is a highly respected entrepreneur with hands-on experience building her own companies and advising hundreds of consulting clients. She has served as a CEO, corporate director, and public speaker. Darlene holds an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.
