Throughout the month of September, we invite visitors to “make their mark” and discover where it leads them. Stop by MACH1 at Burton Barr and create your dot!

Burton Barr Central Library is uniting with over 34 million children and adults across more than 190 countries to commemorate International Dot Day. This grassroots movement, which promotes “creativity and courage,” was initiated in 2009 by a teacher in Iowa. Inspired by the beloved storybook The Dot by New York Times best-selling author and illustrator Peter H. Reynolds, International Dot Day encourages individuals of all ages to harness their personal creativity to leave a meaningful mark on the world and inspire positive change.
