Effective February 28, 2022, City of Phoenix lifted the face mask requirement for those visiting and/or attending programs within City of Phoenix facilities and Phoenix Public Library locations. City of Phoenix follows CDC Guidelines for reducing COVID risk. Should the risk level in Maricopa County increase to a high category, masking requirements will be reinstated. Attendance at in-person programs continues to be reduced to accommodate physical distancing. Thank you for understanding.

1,2,3 Talk With Me Online

1,2,3 Talk With Me Online Online

The 1,2,3 Talk with Me program is a 10-week workshop for caregivers of babies between birth to 32 months. You will use the LENA Talk Pedometer and LENA's Talking Tips to directly impact the growth in your baby’s brain.

To learn more, watch this video: What Families are Saying About LENA Start. Please note our classes will be meeting virtually. No childcare will be provided.

Each week you will:

  • Learn about talk through a short video.
  • Attend a live, online group session to talk about how to use the science and strategies presented.
  • Use the LENA talk pedometer one day per week to count words your baby hears.

Material Drop-Off and Pick-Up

Each week you will submit your LENA talk pedometer by either uploading it from your personal computer* OR returning it at one of the following library locations: Burton Barr Central Library, Acacia, Agave, Cholla, Desert Sage, Ironwood, Juniper or Palo Verde. You will receive a FREE book for your child each time you submit your LENA talk pedometer.
