Birds of Phoenix & Maricopa County

Birds of Phoenix & Maricopa County

What’s that bird in my yard?  Which bird is making that sound?

Maricopa Audubon Society (MAS - www.maricopaaudubon.org) will cover birds you might be fortunate to encounter in your neighborhood and at the local ponds and parks.  Come prepared to partake in an interactive program that will instill admiration for birds and a hunger to learn more and see more!  Expect to leave with newfound knowledge and perhaps a raffle prize or two.  Weather permitting, there will be an optional post-program bird viewing on library grounds.  Bring your personal binoculars!  There will be a limited number of binoculars to share.  Registration required.  Registration opens on June 4.

Don't forget to sign up for the Summer Reading Game, it's for all ages! Prizes include free books and other great giveaways. Registration begins May 1. Start logging your reading on June 1. Game ends August 1. To sign up, click here!
