Effective February 28, 2022, City of Phoenix lifted the face mask requirement for those visiting and/or attending programs within City of Phoenix facilities and Phoenix Public Library locations. City of Phoenix follows CDC Guidelines for reducing COVID risk. Should the risk level in Maricopa County increase to a high category, masking requirements will be reinstated. Attendance at in-person programs continues to be reduced to accommodate physical distancing. Thank you for understanding.

Sit, Stay, Read!

Sit, Stay, Read!

Read to a dog -- therapy dogs love to listen to stories! Our friend, Eugene, a White Labrador, will be waiting for you at the library. It will make them so happy to hear you read books! Bring your own book or take one from our shelves and spend some time with Eugene.

Reading aloud to certified therapy dogs is an excellent way for emerging readers to practice their skills (and lots of fun, too!)

Please see the front desk about a same-day, 15-minute reading session reservation with Eugene!  Tickets available 30 minutes before the program.
