Dia de los Muertos

Join us for the 2022 Día de los Muertos celebration at the Burton Barr Central Library as we honor the tradition of remembering family and friends who have passed on. This year’s Día delos Muertos exhibitions are a display of art and altars created by artists residing in Arizona. Come by to see the papel picado, nichos, and ofrendas, and visit the community altar to write messages to loved ones. Search for clues in a scavenger hunt that will lead to the various Día de los Muertos displays. Winners collect a prize on the 5th floor!  

The Día de los Muertos exhibitions will be on display in the Central Gallery and the Second Space Gallery from October 10th through November 4th.
