Code Your Self-Portrait

Use code to create your own self-portrait art masterpiece! Join MACH1 and CodePHX for a special Hour of Code™ event to learn to code your self-portrait in your own artistic style using JavaScript in p5.js. No coding experience needed! Attendees should have familiarity with a computer and keyboard. This program is registration only for children and teens ages 8 - 17.

Eligible participants are encouraged to enter their creations into Code/Art’s CodeYourSelf™ National Self-Portrait Competition for Girls (Grades 3-12), which "combines creativity, art, and coding to inspire more girls to pursue computer science while also helping change society’s view of what a coder looks like."
