Rare Book Room Tour: Napolean Bonaparte

Rare Book Room Tour: Napolean Bonaparte

Burton Barr Central Library stores about 3,500 rare books or items in the Rare Book Room. Join us for a tour of the room to learn about and view rare materials, such a leaf from a Gutenberg Bible, Shakespearean folios, a hand-illuminated leaf from an ancient Koran, and cuneiform tablets. The collection holds manuscripts and tablets from around the world, many held together with catgut or pigskin.
