Rare Book Room Presents: Book Art Tour - Nature and Ecology

The Rare Book Room at Burton Barr Central library houses and displays over 400 artist-made books in the Rare Book Room. Simply stated, artists’ books are works of art in book or book-like form. It may be letterpress printed using handset metal type or photopolymer plates, but it might also be printed offset, mimeographed, photocopied, written by hand, or created using online self-publishing companies. Book art is as varied, diverse, and interesting as the artists who create them. Join Rare Book Room staff to learn about, admire and discuss featured selections from the collection.
